Multiplying Hope in Pawtucket

When Keith and Michelle Cabral talk about hope, they’re not speaking in theory. For them, it’s personal.

They both grew up in Pawtucket, Rhode Island—met as high school students, fell in love, and started their family here. For years, faith wasn’t part of their story. But then one ordinary walk through their neighborhood changed everything.

“After several years of living far from God, a simple stroll in our neighborhood transformed the direction and purpose of our lives,” Keith shared.

In 2012, they met a church planter who invited their family into a new church community. As they served and grew, something stirred. Their love for people—and for the Gospel—reshaped their lives and ignited a calling: to plant a church in their hometown.

After a decade of faithful service, BridgePointe Christian Church commissioned the Cabrals to start something new—something that would reflect God’s relentless love for Pawtucket.

“Our mission is clear,” Keith said. “To reach out to the lost, the lonely, and the forgotten, introducing them to the transformative power of God, who relentlessly pursues those far from Him.”

That mission came alive on September 28, 2025, when Redemption City Church officially launched at the downtown YMCA.

“By God’s grace, we had 209 people gather to celebrate! It was incredible to watch God at work. From the parking lot to the seats, people experienced such a warm welcome, and families found a safe, joyful space where their kids could learn about Jesus. We launched with the vision to be a church that looks like hope and feels like home, and Sunday was a glimpse of that coming to life.

Through Stadia’s Discovery and Startup Services, Keith and Michelle walked with mentors, coaches, and peers who helped refine their vision and prepare for the unique challenges of launching a new church. Together, we’ve seen their passion for Pawtucket blossom into a movement of belonging and renewal.

For the Cabrals, planting Redemption City isn’t just about starting a church. It’s about restoring a city they’ve always loved—and multiplying hope where they first learned to dream.

A Word of Gratitude — Pastor Appreciation Day, October 12

As we celebrate Pastor Appreciation Day, we’re reminded that stories like Keith’s are possible because of faithful leaders, investing churches, and partners who pour into others.

Every sermon preached, every prayer whispered, every risk taken to love a city well—it all multiplies hope.

At Stadia, we are deeply honored to walk alongside leaders like the Cabrals—coaching, equipping, and cheering them on as they bring the light of the Gospel to new communities.

To every pastor leading, sending, mentoring, and praying: thank you. Your leadership is shaping communities, restoring lives, and revealing the heart of Jesus in every corner of the world.

Because of you, hope keeps multiplying.
